CSU India celebrates Diwali with a Purpose…

CSU India celebrates Diwali with a Purpose…

It’s arguably the best time of the year when we are having series of festivals one following another. Diwali being the biggest and the brightest festival in India. It spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness. And the CSU India team aimed to do just that…

Almost a week before Diwali, instead of the usual Diwali celebration of food, crackers and grandeur, the CSU team decided to give something back to the society. The initial idea proposed got thumping applaud and approval for execution. What started as an idea, took form of a full blown event when presented in the CSU monthly cakes meeting.

For the uninitiated, the Annapurna is a residential school for children from marginal sections of the society. Amdocs CSR has been actively involved with Annapurna Kids through mentor together and other programs.

On 2nd November, the CSU team along with India CSR team, planned and brought the Annapurna Kids to Amdocs premises for Diwali celebration along with them. The event started with lunch and interaction of the kids with the CSU team. The comradeship developed in lunch translated in an impromptu session of songs, interactions and ‘antakshari’

Not only was the CSU team enthusiastic about the event, they whole heartedly contributed for the event. From organizing to getting additional return gifts for the Annapurna Kids, the whole CSU team turned up to make the event a great success.

The way all the CSU team mingled with the kids, made them smile, surely boosted their confidence. The event ended with nice return gift for all the kids who attended the event. The CSU team wished them a happy and safe Diwali and all the Best for the exam which followed the next day too J

CSU India has definitely set a wonderful example for many others to follow. This is a good first step of the CSU India team participating into Blossom-CSR events, looking forward for many more to come.
